Next week, a pair of infanticidal texts: Philip K. Dick’s short story “The Pre-Persons” paired against Mallory Wuornos’ “Eleven Ways to Kill a Child” from Black Seed #6. See you Tuesday!

Reading for 11/1
On Tuesday, we’ll look at a piece on race and identity from Flower Bomb: Destroy Race, Destroy Society. It’s laid out in imposed format though, so be careful to look at the page numbers when reading. Hope to see you then.
Reading for 10/25
Pressing on with Anarcho-Blackness, as we read the next two chapters “Unpropertied” and “Uncouth”. See you Tuesday for those!
Reading for 11/19
Next time, we’ll discuss Chapters 1 & 2 (“Unblack” and “Ungovernable”) of Marquis Bey’s Anarcho-Blackness – Notes Toward a Black Anarchism. See you Tuesday for that!
Reading for 10/11
Another essay from Alejandro de Acosta’s The Impossible, Patience next time. We’ll explore his deployment of a nihilist approach to ethics in “Its Core is the Negation”. Hope to see you there!
Reading for 10/5
Taking a break from Klossowski next week to revisit the writing of our erstwhile attendee Alejandro de Acosta. From his collection of essays The Impossible, Patience (so very worth reading in its entirety), we’re gonna look at “To Acid-Words”. The page count on this one might seem excessive but, before ya balk, note that the layout makes each page more like a half page. Til Tuesday!
Reading for 9/27
More of The Baphomet next week. This time, it’s chapters III – V (pp. 61-91). Towards, towards new vistas of infinite & empty possibles!
Reading for 9/20
Pressing forward with Klossowski’s The Baphomet. This time we’ll discuss Chapters I & II (pp. 39-59). Stay fierce.
Reading for 9/14
Next week, we will dip our toes into the sordid drip of Pierre Klossowski’s The Baphomet before deciding whether to complete it in weeks to come. Peruse the introductions if you like, but our discussion will center around the novel’s Prologue, which runs from pp. 5-37. As always, page numbers refer to those printed in the text, not the numbering of the digital file. Had a blast playing surrealist games with you all. Until next time… anon!
Games for 9/6
Tomorrow night we’re going to forego a reading and instead play some surrealist games, drawing from Alaistair Brotchie’s A Book of Surrealist Games. We’ll have a few selected that seem especially conducive to a group like ours and will provide the necessary supplies, but feel free to look through the text and pick out any that interest you, as well as bring any art supplies or other materials you think might enhance the play. See you soon!
